What did the ancient Romans do for entertainment?

Show Answer

There was nearly always a festival going on, in honor of one of their many gods. There were plays in open air theatres. There were chariot races and gladiatorial contests. There were sports contests. And they were all free so that even the poor could attend. Romans were very social. They played board and ball games, chatted in the forum, invited guests for dinner, and held parties for birthdays and other special occasions. Roman Entertainment
