What were the Intolerable Acts?

These were a series of laws passed by the English parliament concerning the American colonies.  They included a quartering act where by English troops were placed in Colonial homes and people had to feed and shelter them.  Second, Boston harbor was closed until the tea dumped in the harbor was paid for by the citizens of Boston.
