Question:
Why were William Dawes and Paul Revere important?
Answer:
The Colonists knew that the British were going to go after the cannon and powder stored at Concord. They kept a watch and if the British left Boston they would warn the towns by sending horseback riders to give the alarm. Paul Revere and William Dawes were the riders who gave the warning "The British are coming". The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere and William Dawes for kids
