Many kids did not, but some children did go to school. These schools were called Ashrams. In the ashram, there were no servants. You had to do everything for yourself. Children studied math, science, literature, music and religion, as well as learning how to read and write. Some also learned how to take care of themselves by cooking, cleaning and washing clothes.
