Alexander was the son of the king of Macedonia. This was a country north of Greece. He finished what his father had started. Alexander conquered all of Greece. But he didn't stop there. Alexander saw that the Persian Empire was falling apart so he invaded and conquered the Persian Empire. Then he saw all the riches of India, so he invaded India. He was conquering India when he became sick and died. He left his empire to his sons. Alexander the Great
