Ancient Greece

The Greeks had established many towns along what is today the Turkish coastline. Persia conquered this area and started telling these towns what to do. They revolted against Persia, and some Greek city-states helped them out. When the Persian emperor found out about this he decided to teach the Greeks a lesson. Persian Wars
