The Maya Empire

Scientists suspect the ruins of many Maya cities have not yet been discovered. They cannot look for these ruins by air, because the dense jungle hides everything. Archaeologists have to enter the jungle on foot. There are unfriendly natives, poisonous snakes, quicksand pits, all kinds of nasty things.
