The Great Depression

The SSA, the Social Security Administration, was a form of insurance where employers and workers would pay a tax to cover unemployment benefits, old age pensions, programs for the blind, and for children of workers who had died. Domestic and farm workers had been left out of the bill that created the agency. The New Deal and New Deal Agencies
